Singapore, 30 November, 2012 – Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today announced the launch of three new channels on mio TV. Thrill (mio TV Channel 415), Thrill On Demand (mio TV Channel 416) and KIX HD On Demand (mio TV Channel 308) will be available to subscribers from 1 December.

Mr Goh Seow Eng, Singtel’s Managing Director of Television, said: “Movies and programmes about the paranormal and supernatural are highly popular among Singaporeans and the introduction of Thrill on mio TV allows us to expand our variety of programming and reach out to customers who enjoy the suspense that these programmes bring.”

“The addition of more on-demand channels on mio TV such as Thrill On Demand and KIX HD On Demand allows our customers to watch their favourite programmes at their own time.”

Thrill is Asia’s first and only 24-hour movie channel dedicated to the popular horror, suspense and thriller genres. From monster movies to J-horror, heart-stopping Hollywood chills to suspenseful TV series, there is something to satisfy every fan of the genre.

Viewers can also catch their favourite shows from Hollywood and Asia anytime on demand. All programmes on Thrill will be available to subscribers anytime on Thrill On Demand (mio TV Channel 416).

In December, Thrill will feature the first and exclusive premiere of the miniseries ‘Bag of Bones’. Based on the bestselling novel by Stephen King and starring Pierce Brosnan (007 Die Another Day), ‘Bag of Bones’ is a ghost story of grief and lost love, about an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. The miniseries also stars Annabeth Gish (Brotherhood), Melissa George (In Treatment) and Caitlin Carmichael (True Blood). ‘Bag of Bones’ premieres December 22 at 9:00pm.

Horror and thriller fans can also ring in the New Year with Thrill’s 24-hour movie marathon of some of the most terrifying and scream-worthy films from Hollywood and Asia. Movies featured include ‘Hannibal’, ‘I Still Know What You Did Last Summer’, ‘Final Destination’, ‘Ring 0 Birthday’, ‘Ju-On: The Grudge’, and ‘A Tale of Two Sisters’. The New Year Scare Fest marathon starts December 31 at 9:00pm.
