mio TV enriches Asian offerings with CTI Asia

Popular channel to be added to the Jingxuan+ Pack at no extra charge

Singapore, 31 May, 2013 – Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today announced that Mandarin general entertainment channel CTI Asia will be available on mio TV Channel 557 from 4 June 2013. Consistently rated as one of the top cable channels from Taiwan, CTI Asia is enjoyed by some 48 million households in the region.

From 4 till 30 June, all mio TV customers will enjoy complimentary access to CTI Asia’s range of variety shows, news programmes, and food and travel shows featuring top Taiwanese hosts such as Dee Hsu, Kevin Tsai, Jacky Wu and Matilda Tao.

Together with channels such as Jia Le Channel, STAR Chinese Movies HD, KBS World HD, ONE (HD) and many more, mio TV offers viewers an all-inclusive selection of top Asian programming.

Headlining the programme line-up for CTI Asia will be the popular talk show, ‘Variety show of Mr. Con & Ms. Csi (康熙來了)’. Hosted by Kevin Tsai and Dee Hsu, viewers can catch their hilarious interactions with various guests such as Andy Lau and Jay Chou week nights at 10pm.

Another fan favourite for the month of June is the talk show ‘College Talk’ (大學生了沒). Hosted by the evergreen Matilda Tao, together with Ah Ken and Na Dou (納豆), each episode sees 16 students from various universities around Taiwan discuss topics close to their hearts. From discussions about food to girls, the candid conversations are guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours.

Rounding out the entertainment offering on CTI Asia will be the critically-acclaimed ‘Sisy's World News’ (文茜的世界周報). The programme digs deeper into serious issues in the region. From the Beijing Olympic Games to the education system in Hong Kong, ‘Sisy's World News’ is guaranteed to set you thinking.
