Say hello! to Singtel at AMK Hub

Singtel unveils next generation hello! shop at the new Ang Mo Kio mall

Singapore, 12 April 2007 -- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today announced the official opening of its new hello! shop at the AMK Hub at Ang Mo Kio Central.

The new store is the second location after the Comcentre flagship store to boast the next generation hello! shop look and feel.  The new layout promotes interactivity, enabling customers to explore Singtel’s range of products and services with ease.

The shop features a range of interactive DIY counters and touch-screen displays that allows customers to easily find information about mobile phone models, mobile and broadband plan offers, as well as other value-added services that can enrich their lifestyles.

As part of the store’s grand opening celebrations this weekend, Ang Mo Kio residents who present the hello! direct mailer from their mailbox can participate in a ‘sure-win’ lucky dip when they sign up for new services at the store. They stand to win attractive prizes like Bluetooth headsets as well as spa and shopping vouchers. Customers who walk into the new shop wearing the mio colours – blue, purple, red or pink – will also receive free ice cream vouchers.

Mr Quek Peck Leng, Singtel’s Executive Vice President of Consumer, said: “We remain focused on serving our customers. Our new hello! shop at AMK Hub brings convenience and accessibility right to their doorstep.

“Superior shopping experience is more than just products and services. It is about capturing the imagination of today’s savvy shoppers and forging a lasting relationship with them. We do this through initiatives like moving towards advice-based selling instead of product-centric sales and training our frontliners to work towards providing our customers with the best shopping experience possible.”

Singtel today has ten hello! shops islandwide. This is complemented by its extensive network of over 100 Singtel exclusive retailers. The Comcentre flagship store opened in November last year with the revamped look and feel.
