Sharing of talktime and SMSes helps families build stronger ties
Singapore, 15 February 2008 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) today announced the launch of RedPAC (Parent And Child), the first supplementary postpaid mobile plan for children in Singapore where both parent and child can share the bundled minutes of talktime and SMS on the parent’s subscription plan.
Targeting at parents with children aged 7 – 15 years old, RedPAC aims to increase communication between parent and child by providing free talktime worth up to $150 (before GST)* per month between the two mobile phone lines used by the parent and child.
RedPAC also comes with an additional 150 free SMSes for both the parent and child to send to each other and other local mobile number on any network.

RedPAC will be launched at a special introductory price of $8.56 a month (usual price is $10.70).

* The talktime value of $150 before GST for the following plans is equivalent to:
a) iPlans:1,000 minutes b) Classic:750 peak minutes; 1,500 off-peak minutes.
Peak hours: Monday – Saturday (9am – 9pm)
Off-peak hours: Monday – Saturday (9pm – 9am), Sunday & Public Holidays (whole day)
