SingNet announces $38 per month 512Kbps and $47 per month 3.5Mbps unlimited plans

SingNet customers to enjoy a superior Internet Experience with true affordability

Singapore, 21 February 2006 – Customers signing up for either plan from now to 31 March will enjoy the new rates.  They also receive a free ADSL Ethernet modem, free 30MB email storage, two free months of unlimited Outdoor Wireless Surf, email virus scan and anti-spam, as well as three free months of MyAlbum service.  All SingNet 512Kbps unlimited plan customers, on existing 12 and 24 months contracts, can re-contract to upgrade to the 3.5Mbps unlimited plan at the monthly promotional rate of $47. Existing SingNet 1.5Mbps unlimited plan customers on 12, 24 and 36 months contracts can upgrade to the 3.5Mbps unlimited plan at the promotional rate if they have six months or less remaining on their contracts.
The promotion is a timely one as it will encourage more consumers to enjoy the benefits of broadband Internet access, so crucial for building a competitive edge for the nation to be a truly connected city.
Mr Thomas Yeo, Singtel’s Vice President of Consumer Marketing, said: “SingNet BroadBandconstantly reviews and tailors our packages to suit customer needs, for example, for higher speeds and fast downloads.  We want to encourage more customers to enjoy the broadband experience through affordable plans – ranging from the lowest-priced, Jetpack broadband plan to a 25Mbps unlimited plan – to meet different lifestyle needs.”
SingNet’s affordable broadband services allow multiple users within households to surf simultaneously and to enjoy high-bandwidth activities such as online gaming, multiple video-streaming, video phone calls, video conferencing and music downloads.
SingNet offers Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology that provides dedicated local bandwidth connectivity.  Users will effectively share dedicated high-speed Internet access within a multiple-user home, and not be affected by bandwidth usage within a neighbourhood. Dedicated access also means that surfers enjoy higher Internet security and privacy.
