Singtel opens new Business Solutions Centre

Business users can experience firsthand integrated communication solutions and applications

Singapore, 15 September 2006 -- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today announced the opening of its new Business Solutions Centre at Comcentre.

Business users can visit the $1 million centre and see for themselves practical demonstrations of the latest, integrated and practical communication solutions that are tailored for and adopted by these industries: Financial Services, Healthcare and Logistics.  The showcase also includes solutions that support the Small Medium Businesses (SMBs) and help grow their operations.
 
The Business Solutions Centre boasts a showcase of cost-effective voice and data communication solutions.  IP Telephony services let customers enjoy feature-rich value-added services such as multi-party multimedia conferencing and mobile phone access.  Managed Data Hosting services provide businesses a high-performance, reliable and secure network for their data backup and hosting needs.  
 
There will be demonstrations on how Traffic Optimisation Profiling Service (TOPs) helps to increase a company’s network efficiency and capacity through network traffic prioritisation. Singtel’s suite of managed, business-class IP services Meg@POP provides a flexible, scalable and cost-effective one-stop IP networking solution that meets the SMBs’ needs.
 
Visitors can also see eSurveillance in action.  This is a managed, digital video surveillance service on any broadband IP connection with intrusion alert via SMS and/or email.  Other showcase includes 3G services and satellite broadcast solutions.
 
Another highlight of the new Centre is the Proof of Concept Lab.  This is a technology playground that simulates the work environment of the corporate users who want to run their hardware and applications and try out Singtel’s services without hassle or risk.
