mio TV offers Singapore’s first Telugu channels - maa TV and maa movies

Launches brand new Swagatam Pack  

Singapore, 13 March, 2013 – Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today announced the launch of the first Telugu channels to be available in Singapore, maa TV (mio TV Channel 671) and maa movies (mio TV Channel 670). The two channels are the network leaders for quality Telugu programming, airing the latest top-rated shows and movies.

Available from today, maa TV features the latest drama series and game shows in the industry while maa movies airs a selection of blockbusters from its movie library.

Together with channels from the existing Desi+ and Kondattam+ packs, mio TV offers Telugu viewers an incomparable array of Indian programming including a variety of Hindi reality shows, serials and Bollywood blockbusters from top channels like SAB TV, SONY MAX and STAR Plus as well as the best of Tamil reality shows, lifestyle programmes, comedy series and other blockbusters from India with top-rated channels such as Sun TV, Vijay TV, and Aditya TV.

Headlining the programme line-up for maa TV will be the popular reality game show, ‘Bhale Chancele’. Based on the game of snakes and ladders, catch host Suma and three different celebrity guests on each episode perform dances, skits and songs to compete to be the ultimate winner. Watch ‘Bhale Chancele’ on maa TV every Monday and Tuesday at 11.30pm.

Another fan favourite for the month of March is the drama series ‘Kodala Kodala Kuduju Pellama’. The series tells the story of two rich brothers who are searching for suitable brides for their respective sons. After selecting a mild-natured orphan who was raised by her aunt, trouble began to brew when the aunt cunningly arranged for her own daughter to marry the other brother’s son. ‘Kodala Kodala Kuduju Pellama’ airs from Monday to Saturday at 8.30pm on maa TV.

Rounding out the entertainment offering on mio TV, maa movies will be airing popular Telugu movies such as ‘Aatadu’, ‘Orange’, ‘Subhalekha’ and many other exciting blockbusters to keep you and your family entertained.  

How to subscribe

mio TV customers who are currently subscribed to the Desi+ or Kondattam+ pack can enjoy these two new channels for just $16.90 per month with the new Swagatam pack.

With this package, subscribers can look forward to a selection of nearly 800 movies available on maa movies and a wide range of quality programmes on maa TV.

Customers and new subscribers who are not currently subscribed to the Desi+ or Kondattam+ pack can enjoy a whole range of other channels such as MTV India, STAR Gold, Sun TV and Nat Geo Wild HD for just $29.90 per month for Desi+ and $24.90 per month for Kondattam+.
