One of India’s most popular channels added to the Swagatam pack at no extra charge
Singapore, 4 July, 2013 – Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today announced the launch of top-rated Telugu channel, ETV (mio TV Channel 672) on mio TV. Consistently rated as one of the top three channels in India, ETV will be added to the recently launched Swagatam pack at no extra charge.
From today until 31 July, all mio TV customers will enjoy complimentary access to ETV’s range of quality programming, including the latest and most popular drama serials.
Together with channels from the existing Swagatam pack - maa TV and maa movies, mio TV is the only pay TV provider in Singapore to offer Telugu channels. These channels complement the unparalleled array of Indian programming on mio TV that includes a variety of Hindi programmes and Bollywood blockbusters from top channels like SAB TV, SONY MAX and STAR Plus as well as the best of Tamil reality shows, lifestyle programmes, comedy series and other blockbusters from India with top-rated channels such as Sun TV, Vijay TV, and Aditya TV.

Headlining the programme line-up for ETV is the popular drama serial, ‘Anthahpuram’. The series revolves around an ordinary girl, Divya. Illegitimately born to her mother, she grabs the opportunity and works her way up to become the leader of the family. Watch her struggle to maintain her position, and stage an attempt to murder her daughter-in-law in a tussle for power and property. Catch ‘Anthahpuram’ on ETV from Monday to Saturday at 5.30pm.
Another fan favourite for the month is the drama serial ‘Adade Adharam’. This daily serial tells the story of Amrita, a girl who was mistakenly abducted from her hostel one night. Spurned by a conservative family and society for having spent an illicit night out of her hostel, Amirita unwittingly becomes a victim of fate and is forced to tackle a string of insurmountable problems. ‘Adade Adharam’ airs from Monday to Saturday at 5pm only on ETV.
Rounding out the entertainment offering on the channel will be ‘Bharyamani’. ‘Bharyamani’ tells the love story of the upper-class Ishwarya and the middle-class Surya Narayana. Despite being madly in love with the hard-working and responsible Surya,
Iswarya is forced by her millionaire father to marry another man, Santhosh. Follow the dramatic twists and turns of the story as Iswarya struggles to choose between the two men. The show is available from Monday to Saturday at 11pm.

mio TV customers who are currently subscribed to the Desi+ or Kondattam+ pack can enjoy ETV for just $16.90 per month with the Swagatam pack.
