Singtel announces Family Channel pack for all new mio TV subscribers

Singapore, 15 October, 2010 -- Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel) has announced that starting from today, all new mio TV customers will receive a Family Channel Pack consisting of 28 channels as part of the service.

The channels span a broad selection of genres for everyday viewing, providing the entire family with exciting entertainment options on mio TV, including British Documentary On Demand, Trace TV, Asia’s first lifestyle HD channel LI (Life Inspired), ETTV Asia, KidsCo, Australia Network and WE tv.

With the Family Channel Pack, subscribers will have access to a wide range of programming, including kids content, lifestyle, variety and documentary, news, music, TV series and free-to-air channels. Four of the channels also feature on-demand programming which subscribers can watch at their convenience.

The pack forms part of the basic mio TV service, and is available even to  customers who have not subscribed to any other content pack*.

To add to their viewing enjoyment, subscribers can also choose from a range of other channel packs, while enjoying the Family Channels for free.

Jingxuan Pack (精选配套) - $21.90

The Jingxuan Pack features 10 channels of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korean and Chinese movies and TV series, most of which are available on-demand. Customers can watch blockbusters like Ip Man 2, 14 Blades and Bodyguards and Assassins on the Mei Ah Movies Channel, on demand with no advertisements, an experience similar to that with a DVD. The Jingxuan Pack also includes Mei Ah Drama Channel and Xinya Azio among other quality channels, as well as MOBTV Select, where fans of local drama series can watch episodes before they show on Channel 8.

 

*Minimum monthly spend of $16.05 (incl GST) applies to all mio TV subscriptions except when  a customer takes up any 12-month content pack.

 

Sports Twin Pack - $26.75

Enjoy over seven channels of high quality sporting action with mio Stadium and ESPN, ESPN HD, STAR Sports and ESPNews. From the Barclays Premier League to Formula One to the Australian Open, sports fans enjoy the best of sports with the Sports Twin Pack. Entertainment Pack - $21.90

Featuring Hollywood’s favourite hits, the Entertainment Pack has six channels of On-Demand movies and hit TV series. With the largest library of on-demand movies in Singapore, subscribers enjoy over 120 on-demand movies every month. SET features TV favourites like Top Chef, Hawthorne and Drop Dead Diva.

Mix and Match Season Pass - $19.90

Get the best of the latest TV series, as early as 24 hours after their debut in the US. Choose five of your favourite shows from over 60 titles including Glee Season 2, No Ordinary Family, Vampire Diaries, Nikita, Fringe and Castle for just $19.90 per month over a six month period.

Astro Pack - $11.00

The best in Malay entertainment from Astro Ria, Astro Aruna and Astro World on-demand. Astro World features award-winning drama series on-demand.

Bharata Pack - $11.00

Indian entertainment fans will love this selection of Tamil and Hindi channels, including Zee Channel, Eros Bollywood on-demand and Zing. Eros Bollywood features Hindi movies on demand.
