Singtel mio TV offers first TV channel dedicated to all styles of fighting – Fight Sports

Singapore, 2 August, 2013 – Singtel mio TV today announced the launch of the first TV channel dedicated to all styles of fighting sports in Singapore - Fight Sports (Singtel mio TV Channel 119). In addition to “live” fight events and tournaments, the channel features a wide variety of lifestyle, reality shows and other fight-related programmes.

Fight Sports, available on free preview from now till 31 August, has the largest and best recognised fight library with the widest variety of fight programmes worldwide including Mixed Martial Arts, Championship Boxing, Kickboxing, Martial Arts and Specialty Fight programmes. The channel features some of the most exciting Championship Boxing events and fighters such as Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Oscar De La Hoya and George Foreman.

Fans of these legendary fighters can also catch programmes tailored to educate audiences on the discipline, lifestyle, training and routines of these unique athletes on Fight Sports.

Headlining the programme line-up for the channel will be the popular ‘LIVE’ Series – Big Fights’. The programme features the biggest events in the sport such as World Title Fights, WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO events. Another fan favourite for the month of August is the reality series ‘Fight Quest’. The programme follows Mixed Martial Artists Jimmy Smith and Doug Anderson as they travel the globe learning different styles of martial arts, and immersing themselves in the native cultures along the way. Each episode chronicles them training with masters of a fighting style before exhibiting what they learned in a final demonstration. Catch the duo cross the globe with episodes filmed in China, Thailand and France among other countries.

Available from today, the HD channel will form part of the new ‘World Sports Pack’ that includes eight other top-rated sports channels such as mio Sports, FOX Sports, STAR Sports and Setanta Sports.

Singtel mio TV customers who are currently subscribed to the Family+ pack can enjoy Fight Sports and other channels such as mio Sports, FOX Sports, STAR Sports, Setanta Sports and many others for just $14.90 per month with the new World Sports Pack.

Customers who sign up for the pack between now and 31 August will enjoy a 50% discount for the first six months of their contract.
