Anthony Chua Say Hua  蔡世华 (b. 1966, Singapore) creates Chinese ink paintings that engage modern Western aesthetics. His subjects are urban landscapes as well as abstract compositions such as his late 1990s Nudes in Landscape series. Chua constantly challenges the boundaries of traditional media and is recognised for using different brushes, including the less conventional feather brushes to create different visual effects, expanding the possibilities of what can be created with ink on paper. 

Chua graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1992 and with Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1994. He continued to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College at the University of London in 1997.

Chua has exhibited internationally in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia and the United Kingdom. He has won prizes from art competitions including the UOB Painting of the Year, Philip Morris Group of Companies Singapore Art Awards and Philippe Charriol Foundation Singapore Art Award. Chua was also awarded the Young Artist Award in 2001 by the National Arts Council.
