What is STD 020?
STD 020 is Singtel's premium grade direct dial service to customers who demand high-quality calls and assurance of instant access to Malaysia.
How and where can I obtain the Malaysia area codes?
You can refer to the Singtel International Services Handbook or click here for a list of the Malaysia area codes. Alternatively, you can also call 104 for information.
How do I apply for STD 020 service?
STD 020 service is available automatically on all Singtel telephone lines. Hence, you can use STD 020 directly from your telephone without applying.
If you are not an existing Singtel telephone line user, you need to apply for Singtel IDD facility on your telephone line. Please click here for a copy of the application form. The form is also available at Singtel hello! shops. You can apply online, mail or fax the form to us.
Do I need to pay any registration fees or monthly subscription?
No.
How long does it take to activate Singtel IDD facility?
If your application is approved, your Singtel IDD facility will be activated the working day after we receive your application form.
How will I be charged if I use Singtel international call services on my Starhub / M1 line?
Singtel will only bill you you for your usage of Singtel international call services.
How do I prevent unauthorised STD 020 access?
Singtel fixed telephone line users may activate Phone Lock facility to block STD 020 calls.                                                                                                       Non-Singtel telephone line users should contact the service provider to request the equivalent of Singtel's Phone Lock facility.
Does my exisiting Phone Lock facility on my Singtel fixed telephone line for IDD 001 apply to STD 020?
No. To block STD 020 calls from your telephone line, you need to activate Phone Lock for STD 020.
How can I be sure that I will be billed accurately for all STD 020 calls made?
Your monthly bill will list all overseas calls made within the billing cycle. It will include detailed information like date and time of call, the overseas number called, the duration of each call, and the cost incurred for each call. If you have questions about your bill, please call 1688.
