What is Apple Music? Apple Music is a music and video streaming service that gives customers access to play and download over 45 million songs, always ad-free, on all their iOS devices. Apple Music is also available on Android. Am I eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music with Singtel? Singtel customers who have signed up or re-contracted on a 12 or 24-month postpaid mobile plan within the last 2 months are eligible to enjoy the 6 free months of Apple Music. You will have to be a first time subscriber of Apple Music signing up through Singtel to enjoy the 6 free months. Singtel corporate BRN customers will not be eligible. All Singtel customers who are on a postpaid mobile plan are now able to enjoy the 6 free months for a promotional period valid till 31 May 2019. If I am not eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music with Singtel, can I still sign up for Apple Music with Singtel? If you are a (i) Singtel postpaid mobile customer who did not sign up or re-contract within the last 2 months or (ii) have enjoyed the 6 free months of Apple Music with Singtel previously or (iii) are a corporate BRN customer, you are still eligible to sign up for Apple Music at $9.98/month with no data charges. What are the 12 or 24-month postpaid mobile plans that are eligible to enjoy 6 free months of Apple Music? Our 24-month Combo mobile plans from Combo 1 to Combo 12, Combo XO, Easy Mobile, and 12-month SIM Only and Mobileshare plans are eligible Is the 6 free months of Apple Music applicable for the student/ silver/ corporate mobile plans that Singtel offers? Yes, provided that you have signed up or re-contracted in the last 2 months in order to be eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music with Singtel. Is the no-contract SIM Only Plan eligible for 6 free months of Apple Music? No, 12-month or 24-month mobile plans are eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music. However, you can still sign up for Apple Music with Singtel at $9.98/month and enjoy data waiver on music streaming and downloads. What if I sign up for a 12-month or 24-month mobile plan and get a free Data SIM? Is the Data SIM eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music? No, it is not eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music. However, you can still sign up for Apple Music at $9.98/month and enjoy data waiver on music streaming and downloads on Apple Music Can prepaid mobile subscribers sign up for Apple Music with Singtel? The service is only available to Singtel postpaid mobile subscribers. Where can I sign up for Apple Music with Singtel? Apple Music is available to download on Google Play. You will need to create or use an existing Apple ID to enjoy Apple Music. How many devices can I use Apple Music on with just one account? You can enjoy Apple Music on up to 10 computers or devices with your Apple ID, limited to one account per device. How do I pay for my Apple Music subscription? The subscription charge for Apple Music will be included in your monthly Singtel bill. How do I know if my subscription to Apple Music is successful? After you have subscribed, you will receive a confirmation SMS. This SMS will include instructions on how to create/link your Apple Music account to Singtel. How do I activate my Apple Music account? You will receive a confirmation SMS on successfully signing up for Apple Music. Click on the link in the SMS and follow the steps to create/link your Apple Music account to Singtel. I’ve already enjoyed the 3 free months Apple Music offered by Apple previously. Am I still eligible for the 6 free months of Apple Music from Singtel? Yes, you can still enjoy the 6 free months of Apple Music from Singtel and enjoy data waiver for music streaming and downloads on Apple Music. I am currently enjoying the 3 free months of Apple Music offered by Apple and have signed up for the 6 free months of Apple Music from Singtel. Will my 6 free months from Singtel start after my 3 free months? No, your 6 free months of Apple Music from Singtel will start on the sign-up date with Singtel, i.e. the 3 free months from Apple and the free 6 months from Singtel will be running concurrently. Waiver of data charges for music streaming and downloads on Apple Music are only for the 6 free months from Singtel. If I am already paying for Apple Music via credit card directly to Apple, can I still enjoy Apple Music 6 free months with Singtel? Yes, you can still enjoy 6 free months of Apple Music from Singtel provided you have signed up or re-contracted on a 12 or 24-month Combo, Easy Mobile, Sim Only, Mobileshare postpaid plan within the last 2 months. Singtel corporate BRN customer will not be eligible for 6 free months of Apple Music. How do I avoid double payment if I would like to sign up for Apple Music with Singtel but am already paying for Apple Music via credit card directly to Apple? To avoid dual payment, please cancel your existing credit card subscription with Apple Music. You can do so by turning off “Automatic Renewal” under “Manage Membership” inside the Apple Music app. How do I cancel my existing Apple Music subscription with Singtel? Will the cancellation take place immediately? You can do so through My Singtel app. Request for termination of Apple Music (6 free months) before the end of the 6 free months period will only take effect at the end of the 6 free months period. During this time, you will still be able to use Apple Music if you have linked your account. If you have not linked your account at the point of requesting the cancellation, you will continue to receive reminder SMSes to link your account until Day 90 (from the date of signing up for Apple Music). How much will I be charged after the 6 free months? You will be charged $9.98/month automatically from the 7th month onwards and you will continue to enjoy data waiver for music streaming and downloads on Apple Music. What type of data charges are waived on Apple Music? Only local data charges for music streaming and downloads are waived. Data consumed on videos are not waived. Overseas data roaming charges on Apple Music will be charged at the prevailing rate. Is data waiver for Apple Music available on Apple Watch? Data usage for Apple Music on Apple Watch is currently waived, provided customers have signed up for Apple Music with Singtel and have signed up for NumberShare for their Apple Watch. It may take up to 7 days from the date that customer has signed up for either NumberShare or Apple Music with Singtel for data waiver to be activated. How do I know if my data usage for music streaming is not charged? You may refer to My Singtel app to monitor your data usage. Data usage for music streaming will not be recorded. Please note that data usage may still be consumed if there are apps running in the background.Self-service test: 1 song is an average of 5MB. Customer can create a playlist with 20 songs which is around 100MB and download the playlist on 4G network. Monitor My Singtel app data used before and after download to check that the 100MB did not add to the data consumed. How might my data waiver for Apple Music be affected? Your data waiver for Apple Music may be affected due to one or more of the following:• Any proxy-based app (e.g. Onavo) or VPN app on the phone that channels traffic away will disrupt your data waiver.• The APN setting on your phone needs to be set to “e-ideas”. The data waiver will not work on any other APN settings. If I sign up for Apple Music with Singtel, will I be able to retain my songs and playlists if I am an existing Apple Music subscriber? Yes, please follow the confirmation SMS instructions that you will receive upon signing up. All you need to do is to link your existing Apple Music account to Singtel. What if my Apple ID country settings are not set to Singapore? You will not be able to create / link your Apple Music account with Singtel. Will I be informed when the 6 free months of Apple Music are ending? Yes, you will receive an SMS nearing the end of the 6 free months to inform you that Apple Music will transition into a paying service at $9.98/ month and that you will continue to enjoy data waiver for music streaming and downloads. Are there any recovery charges if I terminate my Apple Music subscription with Singtel? No, there are no recovery charges and you can terminate the subscription at any time via My Singtel app. Does Singtel offer Apple Music student plan and family plan? No, both student and family plans are currently not offered by Singtel. How do I use Apple Music?
