As our digital, connected world becomes more intricate, so do cyber criminals. Online criminals have become so sophisticated that they carry out specialised criminal attacks by organising themselves into “conglomerations” with company structures , said Rob Wainwright, who leads the EU law enforcement agency (Bugge, 2017).

Protect yourself by preparing pre-emptively for attacks instead of waiting until it is too late. This may seem like a daunting task, but starting with a strong security framework in place is half the battle won.
