Q. What is Split Billing service?

A. Split Billing service is a monthly subscription mobile Value-Added Service for companies who wish to automate the amount of mobile subsidies offered to each employee. The monthly bill of each Unique Entity Number (UEN) or business-registered mobile line is split between the company and employee; the company will pay the nominated subsidy amount and the employee will pay the remaining amount. This reduces administrative work for the company.

Every month, Singtel will send two bills: one to the company indicating the subsidy amount and another to the employee indicating the remaining amount after subsidy. In the event that the employee fails to pay his portion of the bill, the company is liable as it is a UEN line.

Q. How much is the subscription for Split Billing?

A. Split Billing service is available at $1.07 per month, per UEN mobile line.

Q. Are there any pre-requisites for subscribing to Split Billing service?

A. For Staff: Upon service subscription, the split bill will be sent on the next billing cycle.

For Company: Your staff's charges for split billing will need to be triggered first. Hence, the amount payable will only be reflected in the following month's bill.

Q. I am an existing customer with Split Billing service. Am I required to pay the monthly $1.07 subscription?

A. Yes.

Q. How long does it take for Split Billing service to take effect?

A. For Staff: Upon service subscription, the split bill will be sent on the next billing cycle.

For Company: Your staff's charges for split billing will need to be triggered first. Hence, the amount payable will only be reflected in the following month's bill.

Q. What is the amount I can nominate to pay for my employee?

A. The nominated amount can range from $10 to $500, in $10 denominations via the fulfilment channels. Employees can choose to receive their bills at their preferred mailing address.

For example, Mr Towkay has 2 staff given different reimbursement amounts. He can apply for the Split Billing service for each staff. For Staff A, he can nominate to subsidise $50 while for Staff B, he can choose to subsidise $70. So every month, Mr Towkay needs to pay $50 + $70 = $120 and staff A and B will have to pay the balance amounts on their bills respectively.

Q. How would my employee know the balance amount payable by him?

A. Your employee will receive a monthly mobile bill at his preferred mailing address. The bill will indicate the amount he/she needs to pay, as well as the amount redirected to the company.

Q. My employee has left the company but still has outstanding bills. Can I terminate the line? Can Singtel claim the outstanding amount from him?

A. Yes, you may terminate the line upon paying up the outstanding amount. All Split Billing mobile lines are UEN mobile lines and the liability lies with the company, not the staff.

Q. If I transfer the line to another employee, do I have to re-subscribe to Split Billing service?

A. No, Split Billing service would still be applicable when you transfer the line to another employee. However, you may wish to update information such as new staff name and new mailing address. Otherwise the bills will be sent to the mailing address previously stated.
