What is StepUp?
StepUp is Singtel’s flagship wellness program found in My Singtel app. StepUp encourages our customers to improve their overall well-being by walking or meditating. To motivate our customers and celebrate their wellness achievements, StepUp users have the opportunity to redeem up to 3GB of mobile data a month and participate in partner challenges.
What’s the difference between StepUp and other similar wellness programs in the market?
StepUp is the only wellness program giving you the opportunity to sync your steps and/or record your meditation sessions and accumulate point lasting up to 1 month. These points can be exchanged for free local data and specially curated lifestyle rewards! Our wellness program is for everyone making a genuine effort to improve their wellbeing. Did we say it’s free? Yes, StepUp is absolutely free. With StepUp, you will be rewarded not only by Singtel, but by our partners too.
Who is eligible to earn free data and rewards with StepUp?
All Singtel Postpaid mobile customers are eligible to redeem all available lifestyle rewards!<br>The following plans are ineligible for redemption of data rewards: <br><br>a. EasyMobile <br>b. Singtel Connected Things<br>c. MobileShare Supplementary plan<br>d. Business Registered Number line
How do I activate StepUp to start getting free data?
Firstly, please ensure My Singtel app on your phone is of the latest version. For StepUp to identify your mobile number, cellular needs to be switched on and WiFi switched off, when you open My Singtel app.<br></br>After which, you may view our <a href="https://youtu.be/8lGM6ElAbNY">onboarding video</a> for a step-by-step guide on how to activate StepUp.
Why does my WiFi settings have to be turned off to log into StepUp?
StepUp requires no registration. Identifying your mobile number through our network acts as your credential each time you log into StepUp. Simply turn off your mobile phone’s WiFi when you log into StepUp, and your mobile number will log into StepUp by itself. You may turn your WiFi setting back on after logging into StepUp.
Is there a fee to join StepUp?
StepUp is completely free of charge! Activate it on My Singtel app today.
I am currently active on other health apps, can I use StepUp as well?
StepUp supports Samsung Health, Google Fit and Apple Health.
How do I deactivate my StepUp account?
Click the profile icon at the top right corner of the StepUp dashboard to go to your StepUp profile page. Select "Delete Profile".<br>Google Fit users: Google Fit > Profile > My Singtel > select "Disconnect"<br> iPhone users: Health app > My Singtel > toggle to disable the access to "Steps" data<br>Samsung Health users: Samsung Health app > Settings > Data permissions > My Singtel > toggle to disable the access to daily step count
I received an error message on StepUp, what should I do?
You might receive StepUp error messages depending on your mobile device and its operating system.<br>For your convenience, here is a list of common <a href=https://bit.ly/StepUpErrorMessagesFAQ>StepUp error messages </a> and how to resolve them.

Steps syncing

Can I sync the steps from my health trackers such as Fitbit to StepUp?
Yes you can. <br>As long as you sync your health tracker to Google Fit on your Android phone, or Health on your iPhone.<br> For Android users (except Samsung devices), keep the S Health app running in the background to keep track of your steps.<br>Please refer to the health tracker’s user manual or device manufacturer to check how it can be synced to Google Fit or Health.
How do I refresh my step data to StepUp?
Simply exit StepUp and log into StepUp again. Your step data is synced each time you access StepUp from My Singtel app.
How often do I need to sync my steps to the StepUp step dashboard?
We recommend syncing your steps every day! If a daily sync is too frequent, we recommend doing so once a week.<br><br>To sync your steps, simply open My Singtel app, click on the “Sync Steps Daily For Points” button. You will see your steps and corresponding points increase on the StepUp step dashboard.
Can I sync my steps when I’m overseas?
Yes, you will be able to sync your daily steps if you are roaming with Singtel. <br>While overseas, we recommend subscribing to one of our ReadyRoam data roaming plans for an affordable and convenient way of staying connected to access StepUp.
Will syncing my steps consume mobile data?
Syncing steps in My Singtel app consumes very little mobile data.<br>If you are overseas, we recommend subscribing to one of our ReadyRoam data roaming plans to access StepUp for an affordable and convenient way of staying connected.
What is the minimum hardware requirement to sync my steps?
For iPhone users, you need at least an iPhone 5s in order to use your phone to track your steps.
Will my historical step data follow me if I change my mobile number?
No. Each StepUp account is linked to an individual mobile number. Changing your mobile number means starting a new StepUp account. <br><br>The old account and its historical step data is only accessible by the mobile number and registered NRIC.<br>Should you decide to use another mobile number for StepUp and wish to terminate your current StepUp account, please go to the profile page, click on “edit profile” and “delete account”.
Will my steps history remain if I transfer ownership of my mobile number?
No. A transfer of ownership will cause the creation of a new StepUp account.
Why is there a difference between the steps recorded in StepUp compared to my other health apps?
The discrepancy among different health apps is normal due to the way steps are calculated from the data produced by the phone/device sensors. To get the best estimate of the steps data to be synced onto StepUp, please refer to the step count on Google Fit or Apple Health.
Will step counting drain my phone battery?
Step counting has negligible impact on phone battery.

Meditation

What is the meditation feature?
StepUp’s meditation feature complements your meditation sessions by helping you to track your sessions on a daily basis. The feature also provides you with step-by-step meditation audio guides of 2, 5 or 8 minutes.
What is the daily limit to the number of times I can meditate per day?
There is no daily limit to the number of times you can participate in a meditation session. However, you will only receive a maximum of 20 StepUp points per day through the meditation feature.
Can I end or pause my meditation during the session?
You may end the meditation session prematurely or pause it temporarily before resuming. By ending the session, the duration that you have already meditated will be recorded and you will not be able to continue from when the session ended.
Is it possible to use the meditation feature without an audio guide?
It is possible to use the meditation feature without an audio guide by using the mute function.
How much mobile data will the meditation feature use?
Depending on the length of the session you have chosen, the feature will use approximately 3MB – 11MB of data per session.

Points

What can I do with the points?
By syncing your steps, or meditating on StepUp for points, you are on your way to accumulating points to redeem for free data or our partner rewards.<br>In summary: Sync. Meditate. Earn points. Redeem points for free data and more.<br>Please remember to redeem your points for rewards by the last day of every month, as the points will reset to 0 on the first day of the next calendar month.
How many points can I get in 1 day?
You can sync your steps for up to 100 points and meditate for up to 20 points per day.
How do I know the total number of points I have earned?
Your total number of points accumulated is displayed on the main StepUp dashboard, just below the step count arc. You can access your steps and points daily history by clicking on the total number of points accumulated. Please do note that the steps and points history will reset on the first day of the calendar month.
When do the points expire?
You can accumulate and keep your points until the last day of every calendar month. The points then resets to 0 on the first day of the next calendar month.
What is the difference between Points Booster Code and Starter Points Booster Code?
Starter Points Booster Codes are for new StepUp users to give them a head start in their StepUp journey. Starter Points Booster Codes are only valid for new users who activate StepUp for their first time during the stated activation period.
What is the StepUp Points Booster Codes Redemption?
Points Booster Code Redemption is a new feature introduced on StepUp in My Singtel app, where users can redeem Points Booster Codes earned from StepUp’s partners, and accumulate more StepUp points.
How will I be notified if I have received a Points Booster Code or Starter Points Booster Codes?
Points Booster Codes are given out by StepUp's partners - this may be distributed in-app via partners' apps or by different communication channels such as emails or social media.At the moment, StepUp will not be issuing any Points Booster code within StepUp.<br>Existing campaigns with Starter Points Booster Codes: <br>a. How do I redeem my Points Booster Codes or Starter Points Booster Code?
With the code issued by StepUp's partners, tap to open the “Have a Points Booster code?” on the StepUp Home Screen and enter the code into the available field.<br>For step-by-step instructions, please click <a href="../stepup/points-booster" target="blank">here</a>.
How do I know if the points have been successfully awarded?
Points will be immediately awarded and reflected in your StepUp Points Earned.
How many times can I use a Points Booster Code or Starter Points Booster Code?
Each Points Booster Code can only be used once, unless otherwise specified. Likewise, Starter Points Booster Code can only be used once per new user. If you received multiple Starter Points Booster Codes, only one can be used.
What is the expiry date of a Points Booster Code or Starter Points Booster Code?
Each Points Booster Code will come with its own terms and conditions. Do check the source for the code’s expiry date.

Rewards

Why can’t I see some of the rewards?
Currently, the data reward is not available for redemption by customers on an EasyMobile, Singtel Connected Things, MobileShare Supplementary or Singtel corporate mobile plan (meaning your mobile number is registered under your company BRN instead of your NRIC).<br>Please note that some of the partner rewards are time-based events or have limited quantities, so do check in regularly so that you do not miss out on new and exciting rewards.
What are the rewards available for redemption?
Currently, 1GB of local data reward is redeemable for every 1,000 points. Walk more and redeem this data reward up to 3 times in a month. <br>There are also other lifestyle rewards also available by our partners so please stay tuned as we bring you more rewards for redemption!
How do I redeem a reward?
Upon logging into StepUp, if you have enough points to redeem a reward, go to the rewards tab, select the reward you desire and click on the “Redeem for xxx points” button at the bottom of the page. You will be presented with the voucher code if you are redeeming a non-data reward. If you are redeeming a data reward, you will asked to confirm the mobile number for the data to be rewarded as well as information on the billing cycle that will reflect your additional data.
When will I be able to use my data rewards?
For data rewards, data will be provisioned to your mobile number during your billing cycle that starts in the next calendar month. <br>For partner rewards, upon clicking on the “Redeem for xxx points” button at the individual rewards page, you will be presented with a voucher code. By clicking on “Use voucher now” button, you will be directed to our partners' page to redeem your reward. <br>Vouchers from our partner rewards will expire at the end of the following month upon redemption.
How can I check whether I have successfully redeemed my rewards?
The data reward redeemed from StepUp will be indicated on your mobile data usage bar, as “StepUp 1GB Local Data”. <br>Note that once a data reward is redeemed, the corresponding data allowance will be provisioned to your mobile number during your billing cycle that starts in the next calendar month.<br>For Non-Data rewards, you can identify the rewards that have been successfully redeemed by clicking on the rewards tab. Successfully redeemed rewards will be marked as “Redeemed”.
Can I redeem my data prize for others?
Data vouchers redeemed from the “Rewards” section are non-transferable. However, data vouchers redeemed upon completion of Challenges may be transferable, depending on the Challenge’s terms and conditions.
Where can I view my prize redemption history?
Simply scroll down under “Rewards” tab. Redeemed rewards will be marked as “Redeemed”.
I have redeemed a data reward but have not received my provisioned data. What do I do now?
Once a data reward is redeemed, the corresponding data allowance will be provisioned to your mobile number during your billing cycle that starts in the next calendar month. Please check the provisioning time details in your prize redemption history.
I have multiple mobile numbers under my name, which mobile number will receive the data reward?
You will get the data reward on the mobile number that you has StepUp activated.

In-Store Deals redemption

How do I redeem a StepUp in-store deal?
Upon redeeming an in-store deal in the Rewards section of StepUp, you can find the deal in your My Rewards section ready for use.<br>Follow these steps to use the in-store deal at our partners' shop:<br><br>1. Inform staff at the store that you’ll be using the deal.<br>2. Once they've confirmed the deal is valid, tap the ‘I’m at the store’ button at the bottom of the screen.<br>3. Show your screen to the cashier.<br>4. Slide the ‘Use now’ button to complete the transaction.
When can I redeem the StepUp in-store deals?
The StepUp in-store deals are redeemable all seven days of the week unless otherwise specified in the partner's Terms and Conditions.<br>For Food and Beverage partners, besides any partner specified exclusion days, deals will not be valid on pre-defined days which includes public holidays and certain special occasions. For a full list of FnB exlcusion days, please refer to the next FAQ.
Are there exclusion days to using StepUp's Food and Beverage partners in-store deals?
StepUp deals for Food and Beverage partners will not be available on the following pre-defined days:<br>1. New Year’s Eve & Day<br>2. Valentine’s Eve & Day (13-14 Feb)<br>3. Can I stack StepUp in-store deals with other promotions, deals or rewards programs?
No, StepUp in-store are not valid with any other deals, discounts, promotions or rewards programs unless otherwise specified.
For partners with multiple outlets, can I use their StepUp in-store deal voucher at any outlet?
Do check the voucher's terms and conditions for details on outlet eligibility to avoid disappointment.
Can I use multiple StepUp in-store deal vouchers at one go?
No, deals are limited to one-use per visit unless otherwise specified.
What happens if you accidentally swipe the in-store deal when it is not available for use? (eg. attempting redemption for F&B partners during public holidays)
We are sorry, but once an in-store deal is used, it cannot be reversed. Please ensure that you have done the following before swiping to redeem your deal:<br><br>1. Inform the staff that you'll be using this StepUp deal to confirm if the deal is valid<br>2. Items chosen are elgible for the deal<br>3. Ensure the staff is around to witness the swiping of the deal

StepUp Birthday Bingo Challenge (24 Aug - 27 Sep '20)

How do I participate in StepUp’s Birthday Bingo activities?
Welcome! To get started:<br><ul><li>Select "Challenges" tab within StepUp and register for the first Week’s Bingo Challenge. <br><li>Participants may choose to register for that particular week’s Challenge at any time during the Weekly Registration Period starting from Monday and ending on Sunday 23:59 of that week.<br><li>Sync your steps by the Weekly Registration period in order to be eligible for that week’s Weekly Rewards and Weekly Lucky Draws and Grand Lucky Draw.</ul>
When do I need to register for the Bingo Challenge?

Am I eligible to take part in the Bingo Challenge?
Participants must be 14 to 80 years at the point of participation in the Challenge and must be the account holder of the Singtel StepUp account.
How does the StepUp Birthday Bingo Challenge work?
The Bingo Challenge consists of a different wellness theme each week. Each Bingo square contains a specific activity and on completion of the activity, the individual Bingo square will light up.To complete the Weekly Challenge, you need to register for the challenge and complete 0 to 9 Bingo Activities on the Bingo Board for that Week as shown in the StepUp Birthday Bingo Challenge. You will be eligible for the rewards depending on the number of Bingo activities you complete during that week.
How do I become eligible for the rewards?
When you complete Bingo Activities that make up a “row” – vertically, horizontally or diagonally, across the Bingo Board, you will be eligible for the Rewards under the “Challenge Reward” section. Be sure to sync your steps by the end of Sunday for each week to be eligible!
What rewards can I get from joining the Birthday Bingo Challenge?
There are over $1 million worth of prizes including devices and accessories to be won at our Grand Lucky Draw. How can I qualify for the Weekly and Grand Lucky Draws?
You will qualify for each Week’s Lucky Draw upon registering and accumulating the Lucky Draw Chances by doing the Bingo Activities for that week.You will qualify for the Grand Lucky Draw upon registering for at least one of the 5 Weekly Challenges.You must sync steps before the end of each Weekly Challenges’ Registration Period in order to qualify for any Rewards for that Weekly Challenge, Weekly Lucky Draw and the Grand Lucky Draw.
How can I increase my lucky draw chances?

How do I complete Shopee’s Let’s Meditate Challenge?
Complete the challenge by using StepUp’s new meditation feature and completing 5 meditation sessions of at least 2 minutes each. The sessions have to be on different days (consecutive or otherwise) within the challenge period.
What rewards can I earn from completing the Let’s Meditate Challenge?
