Set up Optical Network Router (ONR)
 

1.1 Insert Fibre cable into FTP

Remove the green caps on both ends of the fibre cable. Insert one end of the cable into port 1 of the FTP.

1.2 Insert other end of fibre cable into ONR

Flip your ONR and remove the black cap from the fibre port. Insert the other end of the fibre cable into that port till you hear a click sound.

1.3 Power up and check ONR light indicators

Plug the power adaptor into the ONR and power socket. Switch it on.

Wait up to 3 minutes and check that the POWER and PON lights are solid green.

2.1 Connect LAN cable to ONR and router

Insert one end of the LAN cable to the ONR and the other end to the internet port on the router.

2.2 Power up and check light indicators

Plug the power adaptor into the router and power socket. Switch it on.

Wait up to 3 minutes and check that the POWER and INTERNET lights on the router are solid white. At this step, the LAN light on your ONR will also be solid green.

3.1 Check if mesh is connected to ONR

If yes, skip to step 3.4 to set up any additional meshes.

If not, proceed to step 3.2.

3.2 Connect LAN cable to mesh and ONR

Insert one end of the LAN cable into the LAN port of your ONR and the other end into the LAN port of the mesh.

3.3 Power up and check mesh light indicators

Plug the power adaptor into the mesh and pwoer socket. Switch it on.

Wait for 5 seconds then check that POWER light is on.

3.4 Pair meshes

Plug the power adaptor into the second mesh and power socket. Place the second mesh 6 - 10 meters away from the first mesh and it will start connecting automatically.

Once completed, the MESH light on both meshes will show a stable white.

If that didn't work, do a manual pairing instead. Press and hold the WPS button on your first mesh for 5 seconds, then do the same for WPS button on your second mesh. Make sure both units are placed side by side.

While pairing, the MESH LED will be blinking white. Once completed, it will show a stable white colour.

3.5 Position your meshes

Upon successful pairing, you can move your second mesh anywhere in the house as long as it is connected to the power adaptor.

4.1 Locate the network device or data point closest to your TV setup

This can be your ONR, mesh or data point.

4.2 Connect LAN cable to set-top box

Depending on whether your device or data point is closest, connect the LAN cable from the set-top box to the respective port.

4.3 Power up set-top box and check light indicator

Plug the power adaptor into the set-top box and power socket. Switch it on.

Wait for 5 seconds and check that the LED light on the set-top box is green or white.

4.4 Connect the HDMI cable from the set-top box to the TV

Insert one end of the cable to the set-top box HDMI port and the other end to the TV HDMI port.

4.5 Choose the input source

This corresponds to the same HDMI port on your TV where you connected the HDMI cable.

You will be able to view the programmes on your TV upon succesful setup. 

Connect using your device password

Check which device name is displayed in your networks. Use the WIFi name and password found on the back of that device to connect.
