The colours of each LED light on your Huawei HG8244H Optical Network Router (ONR) have different meanings. Use this guide to understand more.

 

POWER LED

No light: No power is supplied to the ONR.
Check the power supply and ensure that the power adapter is secured.
Blinking Red before turning to green: Firmware update
Blinking Red: Hardware check failed or failed to start
Green: Connected to a power supply

 

PON

No light: Fibre connection is down
Red: Optical signals issue, please reconnect the fibre port
Blinking: Fibre connection is setting up
Green: Fibre connection is up

 

TEL 1-2

No light: Telephone is down
Blinking: Telephone is up and the phone is off the hook or ringing
Green: Telephone is up

 

LAN 1-4

No light: No ethernet connection
Green: Connected to an ethernet device
Blinking Green: Data is transmitting or receiving between devices

 

Internet

Green: Internet connection is up
Blinking Green: Data is being transmitted
No light: Internet service is down

 

IPTV

Green: Singtel TV connection is working
Blinking: Singtel TV connection unable to obtain IP address
No light: No Singtel TV set-top box detected

Blinking Green: Data is transmitting or receiving between devices

Green (flashing): No IP address obtained in the IPTV interface
No light: No Singtel TV set-top box detected

 

Internet

Green: Internet connection is up
Green (flashing): Active internet traffic
No light: Internet service is down

 

AUTH

Green: ONR is authorized/authenticated
Blinking Green: ONR ranging/ synchronizing
No light: ONR is not authorized/authenticated

Indicator on the front panel (above logo)

Red: The device is being powered on, or the device has been started but is not connected to the Internet
White: The device is started and connected to the Internet
No light: No power is supplied to the ONR, check the power supply and ensure that the power adapter is secured

 

PON and LOS

PON blinking rapidly, LOS no light: The device is attempting to connect to the upper-layer device
PON light on, LOS no light: The device is connected to the upper-layer device
PON no light, LOS blinking slowly: No fiber is connected or no optical signal is received
PON blinking slowly, LOS blinking slowly: Indicates a hardware fault

 

TEL

Light on: The telephone service is enabled
Light blinking: The phone is being used
No light: The telephone service is disabled

 

LAN 1-4

Light on: The network port is connected, but no data is being transmitted
Light blinking: The network port is connected and data is being transmitted
No light: The network port is not connected

 

USB

Light on: The USB port is connected, but no data is being transmitted
Light blinking: Data is being transmitted over the USB port
No light: The USB port is not connected

 

WLAN

Light on: The WLAN function is enabled
Light blinking: Data is being transmitted
No light: The WLAN function is disabled

 

WPS

Light on: WPS authentication is enabled
Light blinking: Terminals such as mobile phones are accessing the network
No light: WPS authentication is disabled

 

FTTR

Light on: Optical signals are detected on at least one downstream Slave FTTR
No light: No fiber is connected or no optical signal is received
