Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams allows its users to collaborate with colleagues through virtual meetings, provides internal chat groups conducive for smaller team discussions, and facilitates file sharing with clients and colleagues in an instant.

Users can conduct private 1-to-1 meetings, or host webinars with up to 10,000 people. Meetings can be recorded and automatically transcribed, allowing for a recap of important points.

The app is best suited for Microsoft users, as it works seamlessly with Microsoft 365 apps. View and edit Word documents, compile and collate Excel sheets and prepare PowerPoint presentations all within Microsoft Teams itself. It allows relevant parties to view and comment on the same files anytime. File storage is virtually limitless, with OneDrive for Business providing users with an immense 1TB worth of cloud storage that can be accessed anywhere.

Google Meet

For G Suite users, Google Meet is the ideal meeting solution that allows one to easily stay connected. This video conferencing tool facilitates virtual conferences for up to 250 people, and its features include internal chats and file sharing capabilities.

To help companies work better remotely during the COVID-19 crisis, Google Meet is now allowing all users free access to premium features such as live streaming for up to 100,000 viewers within a single domain, and the ability to record meetings and save them to Google Drive. These features are typically available for G Suite Enterprise subscribers, but are now available for free till 30 September 2020.

The app is also seamlessly connected to G Suite’s range of collaboration tools. Share and work on projects with others online, be it on Google Docs, Sheets or Slides. Sync the app to Google Calendar to keep up with meeting schedules. It optimises the working experience anytime, anywhere.

Singtel BizConference

Zoom is the video conferencing app that has soared in popularity as most firms navigate the new normal of having most of its employees work from home. The Zoom App allows users to customise their video conference experience with a huge variety of apps. For example, Gmail can be integrated with Zoom, allowing for the management of meetings via one’s email account. Webinars can also be uploaded on YouTube via Zoom.

With Singtel BizConference, powered by Zoom, users can easily schedule meetings, hold conference calls, and encourage interaction among participants of a webinar through its polling and Q&A functions. It also has a neat virtual background feature, where users can customise images and use them as backgrounds during meetings. This allows companies to incorporate their branding by featuring their company logo, fonts, or colour palette.
