Follow these steps to troubleshoot your slow internet connection. This may take about 10 – 15 minutes.
1. Here's how a typical set-up would look like at our homes. Locate your Optical Network Terminal (B) and Router (C).
If you're a Singtel TV subscriber, look for your Set-top Box (D) as well before moving on to the troubleshooting steps below.
*Devices and placement might differ from the example graphic.
2. Turn the power of (B), (C) and (D) off. After 2 minutes, turn the power back on.
3. Wait for the Power and Internet LED lights on (C) to turn green and stable.
4. Check the other devices connected to the network. If too many devices are connected or on bandwidth heavy activities like video streaming or downloading large files, your internet speed can be affected.
5. If possible, restart your laptop/computer and move it closer to (C) and try loading a webpage. If there's an improvement in the loading speed, poor WiFi coverage could be the cause. Check out our WiFi Mesh solutions as a possible fix.
