Why do you need to turn on Local Data with Singtel?
With 3G Closure, voice calls will be made over a 4G LTE Network (VoLTE). You may not be able to make or receive calls if you turn off Local Data with Singtel.
Will VoLTE calls incur data charges?
No. It will not incur data charges or deduct from your data bundle. It will be charged at prevailing voice rates. However, VoLTE calls require local data to be turned on with Singtel, and you may be charged for data charges for usage beyond the VoLTE calls.
What can I do if I do not want to use mobile data?
You can turn off mobile data on your mobile phone. You will be able to make and receive VoLTE call even if mobile data is turned off on your phone.
How to turn off or turn on mobile data on my phone?

Why do I get charged for data usage even after turning off mobile data on my phone?
<p>You may notice a small amount of data traffic even after switching off data on your handset. This data traffic comes from your handset connecting to the network, and is unavoidable if you are using a mobile phone. Prepaid customers are encouraged to top up with a data plan to avoid pay-per-use data charges being deducted from your Main Account.</p>

What if I cannot make voice calls at AT&T USA, Verizon USA or DoCoMo Japan?
