This improvement enabled reliable access to the company’s SAP system in Singapore, supporting real-time operational needs and boosting overall efficiency.
The remote site in Sierra Leone encountered critical challenges in accessing its centralised SAP system, essential for inventory management and operational processes. Frequent delays and high latency undermined data accuracy, increased reliance on manual tasks, and disrupted productivity.
Singtel's Algo-Routing solution provided a robust answer to these challenges. Installed over the site’s existing Internet connection, this AI-driven technology optimised Internet performance by resolving middle-mile bottlenecks. The result was reliable, seamless connectivity to critical business systems – even in a remote geographical location.
Algo-Routing utilises artificial intelligence to dynamically route SaaS traffic based on real-time network conditions. It addresses limitations inherent in public Internet infrastructure by providing consistent service levels for availability, latency, packet delivery and jitter.
A proof of concept (PoC) validated the solution’s potential, showcasing its ability to stabilise latency under demanding conditions. Following this success, the solution was fully implemented, significantly enhancing the site’s ability to meet operational requirements efficiently.
