Singtel CUBΣ expands suite of solutions for greater flexibility, security, and network performance

Enhanced service features best-of-breed security and network solutions

Singapore, 1 October 2024 – Singtel today announced the launch of an enhanced Singtel CUBΣ1, aimed at empowering enterprises with intelligent security and network services so they can navigate a complex digital landscape with agility and resilience. The unified suite of network solutions and services will now feature Security Access Service Edge (SASE) services from industry leaders Fortinet, Palo-Alto, and Zscaler as well as advanced AI-powered Algo-Routing services which dynamically optimise path selection for business workloads, thereby improving Internet performance by up to 30%. These enhancements eliminate the complexities of integrating disparate networks for enterprises and simplify access to a wider portfolio of wired and wireless connectivity, and soon to be included, satellite services.

According to IDC2, network security and data security will remain key priorities for enterprises. Its Network as a Service report predicts global spending to see a CAGR of 13% between 2021 and 2026.

Keith Leong, Managing Director, Enterprise, Singtel Singapore, said, "As enterprises accelerate their digital transformation, the convergence of connectivity and security becomes increasingly critical to their success. The expanded capabilities of Singtel CUBΣ address their needs by integrating AI-powered network and leading SASE solutions into a unified platform. Businesses will now have greater flexibility and scalability to select relevant digital services for every scenario, ensuring that they can achieve their growth, innovation and transformation ambitions.”

Boosting performance and security

The Singtel CUBΣ suite of network solutions and services can be accessed through a unified digital platform, Empower, which eliminates the complexity of working with multiple vendors. The enhanced Singtel CUBΣ now includes:

  • Multiple SASE solutions: A unified SASE approach enables organisations to leverage best-of-breed solutions, the flexibility to optimise security and network capabilities for specific workloads and user requirements, thereby empowering them to enhance their overall security posture.
  • Algo-Routing: This intelligent WAN service harnesses AI to analyse network conditions in real-time and dynamically select the most optimal path for workloads across over 100 Internet Service Provider (ISP) partners globally. This ensures consistent service levels even during peak demand periods across metrics such as Internet availability, latency, and packet loss.
  • Enterprise Mobile Protect (EMP): This security-as-a slice feature leverages AI/ML to proactively identify and block cyber threats in real-time, preventing them from reaching users' mobile devices. This helps enterprises enjoy the full benefits of 5G without worrying about proliferating digital threats.

Jess Ng, Country Head, Singapore and Brunei, Fortinet: “As enterprises advance in their digital transformation journey, secure, scalable, and integrated solutions are essential to successfully navigate today’s dynamic digital landscape. Fortinet’s Unified SASE offers seamless integration across both security and network layers, delivering consistent performance, simplified management, and enhanced protection across all environments. We are proud to support Singtel in its commitment to delivering innovative solutions that empower businesses for the future.”

Claribel Chai, Country Director, Singapore, Palo Alto Networks: “We are delighted to welcome Singtel as the first SP-InterConnect partner for Prisma Access in the ASEAN region.  At Palo Alto Networks, we are committed to providing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that empower enterprises to navigate the evolving digital landscape securely. By integrating our industry - leading Security Access Service Edge (SASE) services into Singtel CUBΣ, we are ensuring that organisations can achieve both high performance and robust security with agility. This collaboration exemplifies how organisations can achieve both high performance and robust security with agility. This collaboration exemplifies how organisations can harness advanced AI-driven security to protect their networks while driving growth and innovation in an increasingly complex environment.”

Foad Farrokhnia, Vice President, Channels & Alliances, Asia Pacific & Japan, Zscaler, “The advent of AI is revolutionising the cyberthreat landscape globally – and threat actors are leveraging this technology to fulfill their nefarious purpose. The Zscaler ThreatLabz team have detected an escalation in the volume and sophistication of threats such as ransomware, phishing and encrypted attacks, all further bolstered by AI technologies. It is critical for enterprises to leverage AI-powered, unified SASE approach to combat these rising threats," said Foad Farrokhnia, Vice President, Channels & Alliances, Asia Pacific & Japan, Zscaler. “We are thrilled to continue our expanding partnership with Singtel. With the deepening partnership between Singtel and Zscaler, we are better positioned to bolster our joint approach to helping organisations accelerate the deployment and adoption of their zero trust strategy to better secure their cloud transformation journey.”

  1. The network as a sensor: why Industry 5.0 needs a spatial layer — Wireless networks are evolving beyond pure connectivity into a spatial intelligence layer. As cellular standards progress towards integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), the same radio infrastructure that carries data can also interpret movement, presence, and asset flows. This reduces reliance on fragmented sensor estates and enables a continuous view of how people, machines, and materials interact across physical space. /business/insights/the-network-as-a-sensor-why-industry-5-point-0-needs-a-spatial-layer

AI’s breakthrough moment is being held back by fragmentation — As AI workloads become heavier, more real-time, and increasingly autonomous, they continue to be deployed across fragmented compute, storage, networking, and security environments. This fragmentation has become a limiting factor, constraining scale, increasing risk, and slowing the transformation AI is intended to deliver.
