Discontinuation of 3G Video Call Service

What is 3G Video Call and what is it used for?
3G Video Call is a feature that enabled customers to enjoy multimedia communication over 3G networks without having to download a separate video call app.
Why is 3G Video Call being discontinued?
The use of 3G Video Call has decreased substantially through the years as most users have shifted to newer alternatives to make video calls. Most device manufacturers have also removed the 3G video call functionality from their current range of devices.
How will this closure affect me?
3G Video Call service will be discontinued on 31 March 2022 and users will no longer be able to use the service after this date. You can consider alternative free video calls applications such as – Whatsapp Call, Telegram Call, Facebook Messenger, Facetime, Skype, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
How will I know that I have been using 3G video calls?
You will receive a notification SMS from us pertaining to this update if you have made or received a 3G video call recently.
